How Do I Love You? Let me count the days.
[an excerpt from “How Do I Love You? Let me count the days.”]
Emily Frame
Sometimes I look around during the day and realize I haven’t really connected with my kids. I’ve heard and responded to them, I’ve taken care of their needs, filled their sippies, changed a diaper, taken the lid off the marker, but haven’t really SEEN them. When that feeling comes around, I try to shove the guilt away, and fix it. I do this by sitting on the ground, getting down to their level, and really looking at them. Telling them how much I love them, what makes them so special to me, and how proud I am
Idea #3
make some time to get on the level of the person you love, look at them, see their eyes, and tell them one thing you love about them or something that’s made you so proud
