Tip #4.

Why I like Groupon
A Groupon arrived via my inbox for an evening of kayaking. I immediately bought 2 experiences. Mike and I had never been kayaking.
We arrived at the lake and within minutes of getting in the water, we were hooked. We rowed around the lake occasionally bumping into each other and yelling across the water to each other, “This is awesome!”
I couldn’t resist when, a couple of weeks later, I learned about a pottery class (learning how to spin the actual wheel!). I’d always wanted to try throwing a piece of pottery. The movies made it look super fun (not that I was entertaining a Ghost date night…ahem…cough…cough).
Trying new things, learning new skills, finding new books, reading new subject matter and helping each others dreams come true is a pretty fantastic part of marriage.
What do you want to learn?
Make a list. Cut a piece of paper in half and each of you write down your little dreams, the ones that you can do within an hour or so of your home…pottery, running a 5k, taking a gourmet cooking class, kayaking, learning to fly a hot air balloon, discovering how to scale the best mountain biking trails in your area, enrolling in a jujitsu class…
Take turns. Choose two things on each of your lists that you’re going to make come true for each other before the end of the year.
Do it! Plan them for your date night. Keep your eyes open for unexpected places and people that may know how to make your dreams come true.
Learning together and finding ways to experience dreams becoming reality is an unforgettable experience. Have fun!
