about 40 boxes…
that’s a guesstimate of how many photo boxes we have that are packed full of pictures.
And those are only the ones that I took when I was shooting film! So that’s minus the last 6 years!
Forty+ boxes of pictures with something like 20 rolls of film in each box. When I start thinking like that I know why they’re hidden in a closet in our guest room. That’s a lot of pictures.
But we all know how to eat an elephant.
A date night of looking back at the awesome memories, hilarious episodes, and growing up that we’ve done over the last 18 years sounds like a great way to spend an evening with the one I love though. I can’t wait.
Just a peek into these boxes of pictures today has made me wonder why I don’t have them out for everyone to see.
I can’t believe it’s taken me this long (18 years goes by a little too quickly). I want my kids to see all of the fun and sweetness that our life has been.
What better way than in photo albums? It’s something that has to happen.
We need to be able to flip through these sweet images. I feel like such a giggly, ooo-ing, and ahh-ing girl as I say to anyone who will look, “You have to see this one! Oh my goodness! Look at how cuuuuttteee!!!”
If your pictures are in boxes, like so many of mine are, hours will go by and you won’t even notice that you haven’t checked your phone. I like it when that happens.
It’ll be little steps but I’m ready. It’s definitely time.
What’s your method for getting your family pictures into albums?

We always swoon a bit when we find old photos from when the kids were babies. We uncovered a card I’d made my husband last night for his birthday one year, and just seeing the names on the signature was fun.
I, too, have boxes of photos awaiting their place in my kids’ scrapbooks. They remind me often that I haven’t done any new pages for them recently. 🙂
Swooning happening big time over here. I know I’ve had a good life but looking back through pictures reminds me that it’s been pretty amazing!! You should post when you do a page! 🙂
I WISH I had boxes of photos. Mine are all on the computer. I too am working on a system. How fun to look through all of those memories!
Meg, I’m with you! I would love it if I only had boxes of photos. I have both. Thousands more photos are on my computer. I decided I just needed to get started. Little baby steps. 🙂
