How Do I Love You? Let me count the days.
[an excerpt from “How Do I Love You? Let me count the days.”]
Laura Cottril
My youngest likes to get out the door early so he can meet his friends on the playground. Being early means we’re not stressed out and rushing. Being early means we can enjoy the forest path that leads us to the back of the school. Being early means we have time for each other in the quiet before we say goodbye for the day.
Sometimes we still hold hands when no one is looking and I know my time is short for these special moments before school.
Idea #14:
consider where in your day you could have a new approach to what time you leave for work, school, an appointment, the library, etc.; ask yourself what new routine you could establish to make that moment of your day slower, more relaxing…leaving space for connecting
