a month of love.
Over the weekend the ebook, “How Do I Love You? Let me count the days” was launched in honor of February and Valentine’s Day and love. Through out the month I’ll be highlighting ideas from this book. To get your own free copy click here.
Today, I’m sharing my contribution to the book (Idea #4 below). My hope is that you will download the book, look through it, and create your calendar of favorite ideas. Sharing ideas from the book here on my blog are mostly to remind me to put this beautiful book into action…I hope you find that it does the same for you.

Years ago in college I learned this simple phrase: The Purpose of the Task is to Strengthen the Relationship.
When my kids were little I tried to always keep in mind how important it was for me to just enjoy inviting them to do work with me around the house.
As a family we agreed to let each child have their own night to help make dinner. At the time my youngest was 2 years old and, even she, had her own dinner night.
I have always loved dinner time with Mike and each of the kids. It gives us an opportunity to connect, talk, hug, laugh, and learn together.
Just the other day, Emma, my now 12 year old, said she told her teacher that her favorite day of the week is Tuesday because it’s her night to get to make dinner. (sigh)
Idea #4:
make a plan for working along side your spouse
and children, ask them questions, laugh, hug,
and play together while you work.
Above is idea #4, just one of 24 from the book. I think you’ll love how beautiful and simple each idea is to slip into your everyday routine. No matter how much love is your home, this little book will inspire more love through out this month.
