I made Love 15…
and I subscribe to it.
Yes, I actually get, in my email inbox every morning, Love 15, a fifteen minute or less familyness idea.
Most people make a product because they’ve become the premier expert on the subject and thus all people want to buy their profound knowledge…so they make something that will help people. I’ve done that and I love getting to share and I’m so grateful to all of the people who have done this and shared with me!
This time though…
I made Love 15 to help me. And in the creation process I hoped that it would help other families.
I wanted to get an idea everyday that was extremely simple, didn’t require a lot of set up, wouldn’t overwhelm me, and could be done in under 15 minutes…and possibly be done almost anywhere. Whatever the idea was I wanted it to be simple…
And not make me feel guilty.
So, this is how it works for me…
I check my email each morning specifically looking for my Love 15 idea of the day. I quickly read through it and make a mental note of a couple of times through out the day that I may be able to do the idea.
If it happens…awesome! If not, I’ll just try out the Love 15 idea that comes tomorrow.
And that’s the way it goes everyday. I have days where I get to do Love 15 with every person in my family…and days where I don’t even get to do it with one person.
Today my Love 15 emails said to ask someone this question:
What would you do if you were God? What would you change?
It’s so simple. Awesome. Immediately I started thinking about my day, “I could ask Mike since he’s home this morning. And the girls when we have snack after school. Maybe I’ll try to actually have something on the counter when they get home since we shopped yesterday. I could ask Emmett on the way home from picking him up from school.”
I’ve already thought of some chances I may have today to ask this question. It may work out. It may not. Instead, I may just end up asking everyone to answer when we are sitting at dinner tonight. Except Mike won’t be here so maybe I’ll ask him when we chat on the phone some time today…
That’s the way Love 15 goes. It waits for it’s moment in the day to surprise me.
And I love the opportunities that Love 15 has given me with each person in my family.
Some hilarious things and unexpected familyness.

I’m so glad you posted this! I love your LOVE 15 so much 🙂 But alas, I have been missing an important step! The part where you read it and THEN YOU THINK OF WHEN IN YOUR DAY ITS GOING TO HAPPEN!!! So super simple, but I think that will up my chances of making things happen 🙂 You’re wonderful!
Yay! I’m glad that was a little tip for you. Some days I’m better at it than others. The days I do Love 15 feel so much richer…like the life I’m meant to live. 🙂
