pick a letter. any letter.
A week (this date doesn’t need that much planning. really!) before our date I called Mike up and told him to pick a letter of the alphabet. I didn’t tell him why he was picking a letter I just said, “pick a letter. any letter.” He picked “D.”
And that’s when I said, “Okay. Everything we do on our date this week has to start with the letter “D.” And that’s when he said, “Well, if I’d known what it was for, I would have picked a different letter…[nudge. nudge. wink. wink]” (and I’ll leave that to your imagination)
So here’s the low down on what we did:
*double cheeseburger for Mike
*dunkin donuts for dessert
*dominos for a fun game
*ducks…fed the ducks…well they weren’t exactly ducks. We couldn’t find ducks so we feed the geese.
*dog…walked our dog, Cocoa.
*dice…played a game with dice [yahtzee to be exact]
*dandelions…picked some for fun
*dodge ball…we bought two dodge balls…probably one of the funnest (I don’t think that’s a real word) parts of our night. We made up a couple of games with our dodge balls. One was ‘pass the dodge ball’ to each other after bouncing it against the wall three times. Then we upped the ante and passed both dodge balls to each other on every bounce. We made it to 30 times without messing up. Now that probably sounds like a silly way to spend the night, but we laughed a lot and we thought we were pretty awesome to get up to 30 times. You’ve got to have some good rhythm to do that. For real. [and the kids were pretty excited when they woke up to two dodge balls in the house…they’ve been played with every day since we bought them]
*dollar movie…we went and we saw Rise of the Planet of the Apes.
*dam…it was too dark to take a picture.
