Hello!
I feel like I’m welcoming you into my home and asking if you want the Grand Tour.
I love giving the Grand Tour of our home to friends and family. I also just love seeing everyone else’s homes, how they decorate, what’s important to them, what we have in common, and what wonderful discoveries I can make about their talents, skillz (did I really just spell it that way?), and collections they stay so humble about…that’s fun stuff! (And so now you might be thinking, “Oh man. She’s crazy!”)
So today, I’m inviting you on the Grand Tour of A Year At The Yellow House.
I’m hoping you’ll like how I’ve decorated it (big thanks to Sarah J. Bray and her crew), the things I’ve said, and the work I’ve created.
I’m also hoping you’ll see some things that we have in common, and you’ll share with me some of the things that you usually stay humble about…and we’ll get to talk about family…the fun stuff, the hard stuff, and the soul stuff, my obsession with dishes, my new found love of garage saling, how awesome your kids are, how cool my kids are, your obsession with Design Sponge (because really, who doesn’t love it?), what you’re doing to love your family, dating adventures, family fun, whatever it is you’ve got going on…I’m hoping you’ll share. And we’ll become dear friends in the middle somewhere.
(And don’t forget to check out Part 2 of the tour here.)
So here’s the family room…
the place where we sit on my sofa and chat, the place we play games when your family comes to family night, where we try not to get crazy on the first day of school…all the in between stuff…that happens here (on the blog part of the site):
This navigation bar across the top has a lot of happy rolled into it…
what it will be like when I’m standing in your kitchen, laughing with you when you get whipped cream on your nose, and those quiet (or crazy) in between moments…
