what do I want? charlotte family photographer
When I said paper and pencil I didn’t know that I meant gigantic paper and pencil! charlotte family photographer
When I started brainstorming I realized that I was having a hard time putting all of the pieces together.
A couple of weeks ago I ordered my own roll of butcher paper.
It felt a little like I was at my elementary school again. In the teacher’s workroom when I wasn’t supposed to be. Someone was going to walk in any minute and say, “what do you think you’re doing in here? Get back to class!” But they didn’t. And now I have this awesome roll of butcher paper all to myself.
Yesterday I broke it in. charlotte family photographer
I decided to rip the first piece off that pristine roll of miles of white paper.
I hung an enormous piece of it on my studio wall.
It felt like exciting things were about to happen.
I wrote my skeleton ideas on the paper.
And then stuff just started flowing.
I felt compelled to get the crayons.
And then the markers.
The kids came in and drew pictures. And I did, too.
Mike drew, too.
And the record player was playing some Nat King Cole.
We danced between ideas…and picture drawing.
Cocoa slept. Sometimes she chased the dancers.
It felt magical.
That’s the life I want. A magical life…and business…and blog.
